State Ready To Deal With Possible Flooding

The governor announced Thursday that he is dispatching teams of state officials to assess nearly 50 ice jams and flooded areas in the state.Varying in size, the teams will be made up of officials from the state Department of Transportation, Department of Environmental Conservation, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services and State Police, will in some cases use drones to identify other potential trouble spots.The fluctuating temperatures and soggy weather have led to flooding in some Capital Region neighborhoods, including Schenectady's historic Stockade neighborhood.
