Stories Related to State Expands Move Over / Slow Down Law

Beginning Sept. 1, the Texas law requiring drivers to yield to police, fire and emergency vehicles will expand to include Texas Department of Transportation crews. The Texas Legislature amended the move over/slow down law so that it requires motorists to move out of the lane closest to a TxDOT workers or stopped TxDOT vehicles with flashing blue and yellow lights when possible or to reduce their speed to 20 mph below the posted speed limit, according to TxDOT. read more
