State Completes $18 Million Widening Of I-64 In Huntington

The Associated Press HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - The state has completed a two-year project to widen a section of Interstate 64 in Huntington to six lanes.Work on the $18 million project began in April 2013. A section of about four miles was widened from the 29th Street to Hal Greer Boulevard exits.Media outlets report that highways officials announced the project's completion on Tuesday.During construction, the speed limit was reduced to 50 miles per hour.
