SUNY Polytechnic Institute's real estate arm will get a $38.5 million grant from the state to pay debts on and make upgrades to its $324 million NanoFabX computer chip manufacturing research facility.The aid package, which approved Tuesday by the board of Empire State Development, the state's economic development agency, follows last week's approval of a $25 million loan by the State University of New York to shore up the school's ailing finances.
