DANBURY - Naugatuck Valley Community College will receive $2 million and Western Connecticut State University will receive a share of $5 million as part of $39 million in capital improvement projects approved by the State Bond Commission. The funding for the 17 institutions of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system will be used for laboratory and research equipment, the consolidation and upgrade of student and financial information technology systems, the financing of advanced manufacturing and technology programs, and the renovation and restoration of academic facilities, among other upgrades, according to a news release.
