Hoth, the iconic snow planet from The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi’s Endor, have been confirmed as returning battlegrounds in EA and DICE’s Star Wars Battlefront. During EA’s press conference, DICE showcased a bit of what to expect from the Frostbite Engine 3-powered multiplayer shooter, as well as how the team achieved a high level of quality and authenticity. "We're going to treat this with respect," EA COO Peter Moore told IGN, "particularly because people have a very clear idea of what a Battlefront game should be." DICE visited the LucasFilm Archives at Skywalker Ranch “to capture the actual models and props used in the movies,” a developer explained in a video. The team also went to some original filming locations, “not just to capture the environments, but the emotions they invoke as well.
