Search for Star Wars: The Acolyte Is Done After One Season on Bing

The Acolyte has been canceled after just one season, despite a cliffhanger ending that appeared to be setting up for more. Deadline has confirmed that Star Wars The Acolyte will only be getting one season, following a first season plagued by review-bombing by dissatisfied fans. Despite cheering crowds greeting an Acolyte panel at D23, it’s now been confirmed that the show will only ever see one season. That’s despite at least two stones laid in the first season for future stories, with a glimpse of who can only be Darth Plagueis in Qimir’s cave lair and a faceless shot of none other than Yoda himself.

    At this point with the dizzying amount of new Star Wars media that has been released in the past 10 years I don't even look at it all as one cohesive story anymore. It is what it is. Media based on Star Wars and I take what I enjoy and leave what I don't. When it was 6 movies and a cartoon it was a manageable task to follow.

    I kind of see Star Wars as a whole as a "choose your own adventure" type of thing. There are several pre-2014 books I consider to be "essential" canon. Cloak of Deception, Labyrinth of Evil, Dark Lord, Plaguies and the Republic Commando books were all top-level Star Wars IMO. I'm not one who would say "all Disney Star Wars sucks."
