Stamford Woman Charged In Stabbing Man Over Money Dispute

STAMFORD - Police arrested a West Side woman Monday afternoon for allegedly trying plunge a knife into the chest of a male friend, who she claimed owed her money. Sgt. Jennifer Pinto said police were called to The Village housing complex on Mohawk Court at 3:15 p.m. Monday on the report of a man who had just been stabbed in the chest. Police got to the West Side location and immediately found the 28-year-old stabbing victim, but at first, the man said he did not know who it was that stabbed him. Police talked to witnesses who told them that Reshawn Powell, 23, of The Village had come over to the apartment and confronted the man about some money he owed her.
