STAMFORD — Safia Hamada was sprawled on a cushy round chair at the corner of Bedford and Broad, eyes shut, surrounded by red party cups. Hamada, a sophomore at Brien McMahon High School, was part of a candid demonstration Friday led by teens from Stamford and Norwalk to raise awareness about sexual assault. The group has also brought attention to mental illness, domestic violence and child brides, she said.
