Stamford Police Ask Camera Owners To Sign Up

Police last summer began contacting camera owners and have already registered 276 in the downtown, Lt. Diedrich Hohn said in a press release announcing the roll out of the program. The police department will not take ownership of the cameras, but through registration will know who owns them so they can be called upon if a crime happens nearby and investigators are looking for images in hopes of identifying the perpetrators.
