STAMFORD —A three-judge panel on Wednesday committed Timothy Anderson to the state’s most secure hospital for the criminally insane for killing his mother after beating her with his fists in 2015. While the judges handed down their decision to have him locked down for 20 years at the Whiting Forensic Unit at Connecticut Valley Hospital in Middletown, Anderson, 44, remained silent.
