STAMFORD — An East Side woman escaped serious injury after she was hit by a pickup truck while crossing the street against the light on East Main Street Monday evening. Surveillance cameras from the convenience store captured the shocking moment when Davisson was thrown to the ground and thrown 15 to 20 feet before the driver hit the brakes. Store owner Eddy Polomia said the female driver stopped and pulled over, but then drove away. After the accident Davisson said she first went into the store to buy some soup, then went home and called an ambulance to go to Stamford Hospital, where she stayed until about 7 a.m.
