Stamford Goes Green With New Led Bulbs

STAMFORD — The city has replaced fluorescent lights with energy efficient LED bulbs at 15 public schools and the government center, a move expected to save nearly $900,000 a year in electricity costs. The Energy Improvement District (EID) project will save us money, provide better lighting, and reduce our carbon footprint, Mayor David Martin said in a news release.
