Sgt. Simon Blanc said Stamford police were contacted on Wednesday by State police asking them to get to the bottom of how the 14-year-old boy ended up returning to Litchfield, where he is incarcerated, with a bag full of snacks which also contained a 9 mm pistol on Tuesday. According to the woman’s statement, she said her husband “forgot” that he left the weapon in the bag, which was then given to the teen for his return trip to Litchfield.
