St. Albans Loses Its J.c. Penney After 87 Years

ST. ALBANS, Vt. (AP) — J.C. Penney, the last remaining department store in downtown St. Albans, has closed after 87 years. The St. Albans Messenger reports (http://bit.ly/1xzF5Vo) the store closed Saturday. The fate of its 30 employees wasn't immediately known. The retail chain has been struggling.
