LIMA — Lima Senior has opened the season with two impressive wins but the Spartans will face their biggest test in the early season when they travel to battle perennial powerhouse Springfield in a non league affair Friday night. Springfield, which was a playoff team last year in Division II, opened the season with a 55-21 win against Lancaster and followed it up with a 27-24 win against Cincinnati Princeton last week. Springfield is loaded with a wealth of talent on offense and defense “Coach Moe Douglas has done a heck of a job,” Griffin said.
