OVERVIEW: Since 2001, 16 teams have advanced to the N.C. 4A Western Regional championship (state semifinals). Twelve were from the Southwestern 4A.. This might be the toughest conference in the state, and it's possible that two league teams could get back to the regional final in '09, if the playoff pairings allow it.
