FORT COLLINS — The lead singer of Smash Mouth, Steve Harwell, did not respond well to bread being thrown at him while he was performing during the finale for Taste of Fort Collins. The Fort Collins Coloradoan reports (http://noconow.co/1HHYpWx ) during Sunday's show, Harwell started yelling profanities at the crowd and then was subdued by a security guard before walking off stage. Harwell became angry when concert attendees starting throwing slices of bread in the air, which had reportedly landed on stage. Loaves of bread had been given away for free at one of the vendor booths at Taste of Fort Collins. Fans booed as Harwell insulted the crowd. The incident lasted about three minutes.
