After months of disagreement between the Candlewood Lake marine patrol unit and the lake authority, six patrol officers will not be rehired and the unit’s senior staff filed a vote of no confidence in the lake authority’s chairwoman. The Candlewood Lake Authority’s Executive Committee voted this week to follow a recommendation made by the marine patrol and the Public Safety Committee not to rehire the six officers.
