BETHEL—A stretch of Shelter Rock Road will be closed to all traffic except local traffic for a week, starting Monday, town officials announced last week. The section of the road between Walnut Hill Road and Payne Road will be closed each day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Oct. 31, the town said. Residents and school buses will be allowed on the road during the closures. The closure will allow workers to install storm drains, according to a town Facebook post.
