Shantaram drama series lands at Apple Apple has landed the rights to develop Shantaram, an international drama series based on the bestselling novel by Gregory David Roberts, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed. Back in January, Paramount Television and Anonymous Content gained the rights to the novel, with a deal made for the rights to the sequel, The Mountain Shadow, as well. Shantarum tells the story of Lin, a man on the run from an Australian prison looking to get lost in the teeming city of Bombay.
