By William Moore Daily Journal SHANNON – When voters go to the polls Tuesday in Shannon, it will be just the first of three probable city-wide elections over a six-week span. The town of around 1,800 on the south end of Lee County has four mayoral candidates. With three in the May 2 Democratic primary, a run-off will likely be needed on May 16.
