(seattlepi.com file photo) Our distracted-driving laws contain a bit of a gray area: We can’t text on our cell phones or talk while holding the phones up to our ears, but somehow it’s legal to talk if we hold the phone away from our heads, which kinda makes it harder to communicate in the first place.
