A harp seal found grounded on the backyard grass of an outer Cape property was returned to its ocean home thanks to the International Fund of Animal Welfare.Trained responders from the animal rescue and conservation group responded to a call to its marine mammal rescue hotline and used a blanket to capture the seal, which was placed in a wood and wire crate for a health assessment, according to a video of the rescue posted on the nonprofit’s Facebook page Saturday.Harp seals often wander far from the open ocean, the group said.
