Five minutes after the start of Game 7 of the World Series, Lumberton police officer Matthew Neal turned down the radio and turned on his police lights. Neal pulled over a silver Honda Accord driving 65 mph in a 50 mph zone, the first traffic stop of his shift. He let the driver off with a warning. "She was just rushing home to watch the Astros," Neal said. Some Southeast Texans, like Neal, weren't afforded the luxury of watching the Houston Astros win their first World Series title in franchise history - defeating the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 in Game 7 at Dodger Stadium. Their jobs got in the way, whether it be in public service like Neal or pizza service like Domino's delivery driver Aaron Little.
