Environmental Protection Agency chief Scott Pruitt was confirmed on Feb. 17, 2017, and since day one on the job, has had 24/7 security, the EPA's inspector general told lawmakers in a letter sent on Monday. EPA Inspector General Arthur A. Elkins Jr. said the decision was made by the agency's Office of Criminal Enforcement, Forensics, and Training, after being told Pruitt asked for around-the-clock protection upon his confirmation.
