U.S. motorists rely on antiquated headlight technology that fails to properly illuminate the roadway but manages to blind oncoming drivers. Adaptive driving beam technology, already available in Europe and Japan, adjusts the pattern of the light beam so that it remains bright enough for the driver without causing glare for other motorists.
