Sacramento Man, After Opening Fire On Cruisers, Shot By Police

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Authorities say a man armed with a shotgun and a hatchet has been shot and wounded by Oakland police after he opened fire on several parked patrol cruisers. Officer Jeff Thomason says 25-year-old Nathaniel Reddick was shot late Saturday near police headquarters in downtown Oakland. Police say Reddick rode up to the scene on a bicycle and began shooting at police vehicles, damaging at least six of them.
