Route 39 In New Fairfield Reopens After Fatal Crash

NEW FAIRFIELD — Local and state officials have confirmed that at least one person was killed during a motor vehicle accident along Route 39 late Thursday afternoon. Police have not yet released details Friday morning on the crash, which involved a motorcycle and a car along Route 39 near Short Woods Road. Route 39 was closed to traffic while State Police continue to investigate the scene. More details are expected later Friday morning.
