Rocky Mountain National Park Underscores Campfire Ban

ROCKY MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK — Amid high fire danger, officials at Rocky Mountain National Park are reminding visitors that campfires are banned in most of the park. Park spokeswoman Kyle Patterson says two illegal campfires were discovered this week and the people who set them were issued citations. A small wildfire that started Monday near the Twin Sisters Trailhead is believed to be human caused but investigators aren't sure whether a campfire started it.
