Support of the LA/SPCA HeartwormTreatment Fund has a lasting impact. Last year the fund saved about 30 dogs adopted from the shelter by providing the funds to cover the heartworm treatment, and easing the financial burden for the new families who adopted the heartworm positive dogs, all in need of a loving, permanent home.
