Robot Lifeguard 'emily' Invented To Save Swimmers

Along a California beach, Tony Mulligan tested the prototype of a lifeguard robot he invented known as Emily.Emily, which stands for Emergency Integrated Lifesaving Lanyard, is capable of speeding through waves at 24 miles per hour to rescue swimmers in need of aid, CNN reports.The robot is a four-foot-long buoy that is controlled by a remote control, allowing human lifeguards to reach conscious swimmers much faster than ever before possible.Read More...
