Sara Freese, director of the Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport, resigned today for personal reasons, according to an internal memo sent out by Interim City Manager Terry Childers. An acting director will later be named by Childers, the memo read. Amarillo City Council members said they were shocked by the news and said they didn’t know why Freese resigned.
