PROVIDENCE — The Rhode Island Supreme Court has upheld the second-degree murder conviction of a man who beat to death a junk-car dealer he had scammed out of $400 in July 2014.In March 2017, Daniel Lastarza of Providence was sentenced to 50 years in prison, with 40 to serve, for killing Jonathan Stack on July 23, 2014.
