After discussing the Lally case in a closed-door executive session Tuesday morning, Ethics Commission Chairman Ross Cheit said the commission had decided to extend the case for another 60 days because its lawyers and Lally were "close" to a resolution and didn't want to come up against a 180-day deadline.
