STAMFORD-Police are looking for three teenagers believed to be responsible for a rash of car break-ins in Springdale that in just one car resulted in the theft of about $850 in cash from one woman early Tuesday morning. After unlocking the car and getting in, the first thing she did was reach for a small purse containing her wallet that she has had a habit of stuffing under the passenger seat. Inside the purse was her rent money that along with some other cash totaled about $850, she said, along with about $450 in gift cards for her young son that she collected for him over the holidays and his birthday. Next-door neighbor Karen Becerra says she knows exactly who did it and even talked to the thieves. [...] 15 or 20 minutes later, something told Becerra to look out of her second-story front bedroom window with a view of the parking lot. Having lived in her home for a little over nine years, she says she knows just about every neighborhood kid and didn’t recognize them. The reason why I live here is that I’m a single mother from New York and I love this neighborhood and I love the school system, I love everything, Beccera said.
