Rescue Crews Reach Fallen Climber On Pikes Peak

A 21-year-old man suffered head injuries after he fell about 50 feet in the Bottomless Pit on Pikes Peak on Tuesday afternoon, the El Paso County Sheriff's Office said. The man, who was conscious and breathing, had been reached by a rescue team by 4:20 p.m., said Larry Borland, a Sheriff's Office spokesman. El Paso County Search and Rescue tweeted about the fall just before 1:30 p.m.
