Joe Paterno will retire as Penn State coach at the end of the football season, the Associated Press reports. His football program rocked by a child sex abuse scandal involving former coach Jerry Sandusky, Paterno, 84, will step down when his 46th season as coach ends. The Nittany Lions have three regular-season games remaining plus, potentially, the Big Ten title game and a bowl game.
