Less than four months after former Johnson County Supervisor Terrence Neuzil took the helm of Kalamazoo County government in Michigan, he quit Tuesday night following a closed-door meeting with the elected officials who hired him.According to a report by the MLive.com news organization, which covers local news there, the Kalamazoo County Board of Commissioners accepted his resignation following a private meeting that lasted more than two hours.Neither he nor board members gave the news organization a reason behind the resignation. The Gazette reported last month that Neuzil had been placed on paid leave March 15 but county officials there would not say why.“The county is following its policies and procedures to address personnel matters,” a new release said at the time.
