TROY – The Rensselaer County Republicans are in disarray as they deal with the results of a vicious primary fight for county executive that's provided county Democrats with the split in their opponent's ranked they wanted to see for fall campaign.Republicans admit they have a deep chasm to overcome after Assemblyman Steven McLaughlin, R-Troy, appears to have defeated Deputy County Executive Christopher Meyer in the party primary to succeed retiring Republican County Executive Kathleen Jimino.
