AKRONYouth mentoring program AKRON: Application are currently being accepted for DREAMS Academy, an eight-week mentoring program for African-American young men in fifth through eighth grades. DREAMS, Developing Responsible Extraordinary African-American Males for Society, focuses on etiquette, academics and art and technology. It s designed to enhance students in a variety of areas, including soft skills, problem solving, career guidance, and financial literacy.Cost is $300, which can be offset by work done during the financial literacy week, and includes meals, supplies, seven ties, two tickets to the DREAMS Academy Gala and a tuxedo rental for the gala.
