AKRON‘Nerds’ to visit Canal ParkAKRON: The Summit County Historical Society and Knight Foundation will host their third Nerds’ Night Out from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 5 at Canal Park, 300 S. Main St.The groups will celebrate the life of professional baseball player George Sisler, who grew up in Summit County.Participants will take turns in the batting cages and learn about other professional athletes from the county.The event is free, but pre-registration is required and can be made at tinyurl.com/z3yjl49.
