AKRONKiwanis luncheon ThursdayAKRON: Denise Schafer and Hannah Moore of Junior Achievement will speak at the Kiwanis Club of Akron’s luncheon at noon Thursday at the Duck Club of Canal Park, 300 S. Main St.They will discuss how the organization builds stronger communities by educating students on financial literacy, workforce readiness and entrepreneurship.With the help of 840 volunteers in Junior Achievement’s North Central Ohio 12-county region, which includes Summit, helps students develop the skills they need to experience the realities and opportunities of work and business ownership.Tickets are $15 at the door.
