A 24-year-old Redmond man believed to have fired a gunshot while in the midst of a mental crisis was detained for evaluation early Saturday, according to Redmond Police Department.Police were called to a home near the intersection of Southwest 17th Street and Southwest Kalama Avenue at around 4:50 a.m. upon receiving a report of a “subject in mental crisis." As officers approached to make contact with the man, a single shot was fired.
