Redmond Fountain Will Be Excavated

The Redmond city splash park, summer’s biggest draw at downtown Centennial Park, closed a couple of weeks earlier than normal this year.Turned off every year in late September since its opening in 2010, the spray fountain was found to be inoperable the week after Labor Day. Inspections revealed the ground settled beneath the pavement and brick plaza, and mud in the fountain water, according to City Engineer Mike Caccavano.
