Red, White, And Kaboom 'part 2,' Food Truck Rally To Be Held Friday Night In Lakeland

It’s Red, White and Kaboom, “Part 2,” said Kevin Cook, director of communications for the city of Lakeland. After heavy rain led to the cancellation of the Independence Day event last week, organizers rescheduled it for Friday night. Cook said the band Clemons Road will return to provide live entertainment and fireworks will go off at 9 p.m. Since the watermelon contest was completed last week, there well not be a second one Friday. The food truck rally, usually scheduled for Thursdays in Munn Park, will happen Friday night from 6 p.m.
