Zach Eflin allowed only one baserunner until the second out of the ninth inning to lead the Reading Fightin Phils past the Sea Dogs 6-2 Friday night at Hadlock Field. After a two-out error allowed Mike Miller to reach, Carlos Asuaje hit a two-run homer for the Sea Dogs, who collected two more hits against Eflin (4-3) before Lee Ridenhour came on to record the final out for his first save. Brock Stassi led Reading with three hits, including a two-run double in the sixth off Portland starter William Cuevas (5-2). The Sea Dogs return to action with a Saturday doubleheader starting at 1 p.m.
