A Quiet Day For Area Firefighters

Fire crews throughout Central Oregon responded Saturday to 32 reports of smoke, none of which amounted to much in the way of fire, according to the Central Oregon Interagency Dispatch Center.“We had overnight reports of 32 smokes that we went to look for and seek out when the storm started (Friday) afternoon," said dispatch center spokesman Nick Mickel.
