While Quentin Tarantino is a big fan of on-screen violence, he draws a clear line at harming animals — even insects — for his productions. While speaking at Cannes (per Variety), Tarantino addressed the few qualms he has with violence in movies. He noted how he won't so much as harm a fly for a film, referring to how other productions in years past have had animals and insects legitimately killed for the sake of entertainment.
