Publix Sees $200 Million Spike In Profits From Tax Act

Publix Super Markets Inc. said Thursday that its fourth-quarter profits were bolstered by the Trump tax plan, ringing up at $200 million more than they would have otherwise. The Lakeland-based grocer's net profits in the fourth quarter were $766.6 million, compared to $544.5 million in 2016 — an increase of more than 40 percent.
